Can you wash sandy swimwear?
Yes, but rinse the sand out yourself first. A heavily-sanded swimsuit (just stuffed in a beach bag, not rinsed) damages our washing machine seals over many cycles. We can handle some sand but a full sandy bag from Phuket creates problems for downstream loads. The solution: rinse swimwear in your hotel shower for 30 seconds before bagging. This removes 90% of the sand. Then we wash normally. If you forgot to rinse: tell us at booking, we'll do an extra rinse cycle (no charge) but warn that residual sand might transfer to other clothes in your bag.
